Riesling
Riesling is a white grape variety which originated in the Rhine region. Riesling is an aromatic grape variety displaying flowery, almost perfumed, aromas as well as high acidity. It is used to make dry, semi-sweet, sweet, and sparkling white wines.
In the New World, Riesling generally has a characteristic effervescent light body with a similarly light, mellow flavour in the United States. In South Africa, under ideal growing conditions, Riesling can make quality white wines with a fruity, delicate yet fruity nose and pronounced grassy aroma.
