The winemaking

Grapes were hand-picked between mid March to the first week of April 2004 at an average balling of 24.9°. Selected yeast cultures were used and the grapes fermented for 11 days on the skin. After malolactic fermentation, the wine was racked and transferred to 1/3 French and 2/3 American oak barrels where it was matured for 24 months.
Winemakers comments
Deep ruby colour, cherry, strawberry, marshmallow upfront with soft smoky nuances and a touch of cigar box. On the palate the fruit carries through with Turkish delight and balanced, spicy woody undertones for a long memorable finish.
