Eiswein -Ice Wines are produced from grapes harvested and pressed while deep frozen (less than 7 deg C)  to concentrate the sugar, acidity and fruit extract. A truly unique and complex wine an intense concentration fruits, honey, caramel and raisins. Eiwein is fast taking its place as the jewel in the crown of German Viticulture.


Varietal:  Mainly Ortega and Optima grapes
Region:  Rheinhessen/Pfalz
Alcohol:  8,0 – 9,0  %
Total acidity:  7,0 – 8,5 g/l
Residual sugar: 140 – 160 g/l
